Grand Historical Hanseatic festival
On 10, 11, and 12 July, Doesburg 777 celebrates the Hanseatic past of the city of Doesburg with a grand festival at the IJssel river waterfront. One of the attractions of the 'HanzeWaterkantfestival,'

is a visit of the 14th century cog ship (Koggeschip) from Kampen. This cog ship is a historical reconstruction of a new type of ship that was introduced by the Hanseatic League in 1336 for shipping large amounts of cargo. This type of ship was extremely successful between 1200 and 1450. During the entire weekend there will be festive activities at the IJssel river quay.

On Friday 10 July the cog ship arrives in a river parade of old ships, and Doesburg poet laureate Jan Vijn officially reveals a poem on the wall of the Old Transit Warehouse. On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July there is a market of regional and creative products with a variety of arts and crafts stands. There is live music with regional and local song and dance.
