“A couple of years ago scientists discovered a new beetle species. The animals live on the head of a mushroom, which only grows in a small, inaccessible area in South America. The beetles’ carapace glows the whitest of white ever measured in nature so far.
This phenomenon occurs to the grooved pattern of its surface, which is not arranged in a symmetric order but randomly creating the optimum conditions for the refraction of light. The whitest of white is the result of a unique chaotic form.
I am dedicated to a certain sentimentality concerning sculpture and installation. In the arts, I particularly despise half-baked irony and swimming with the current. Given a choice, I pick poetry over zeitgeist. “
